Mission

Restoring the River Medway to good health — and renewing our relationship with her

"We wish to approach the River in friendship and respect so that we can become loving guardians of the water."

Rivers all over the world are suffering — polluted, manipulated, treated as dumping grounds. In England, only 14% are in good ecological health, and every single one has failed their most recent chemical tests.

We believe this can change. By bringing together practical action, legal advocacy, and a deep sense of reverence, we are committed to restoring the Medway — for her wildlife, her community, and for the generations to come.

River vision
Our Vision

We believe every river should be clean, vibrant, rich in nature, and free to flow in its natural course. Rivers ought to be thriving ecosystems — welcoming spaces for people to reconnect with the natural world.

Our vision is for rivers to become drinkable once again, as they were for our ancestors and throughout most of Earth's history.

It is time to harmonise ourselves with nature's beautiful, flowing symphony.
