We warmly invite you to join us as river guardians for a morning of clearing litter from the Medway in Forest Row.

Sunday 15 November 2026 | 10am-1pm | Meet: The Skate Park, Forest Row, East Sussex

About this event

The River Medway runs through the heart of our village, giving life to everything around her. Over time, rubbish has been building up along her banks and in her waters, and we’d love your help to clear it. It was gatherings just like this one that first brought Friends of the River Medway into being, so this is a chance to be part of how the group began, and how it grows.

Everything we collect will be sorted and recorded, so we can build a picture of what kind of rubbish is finding its way into the river and where it might be coming from. That data will help us look at long-term ways to stop it reaching the Medway in the first place.

We warmly welcome you to join us for a beautiful morning of caring for the river. Let’s give back to the river that gives us everything, together.
